About One Island

One Island Institute is a solutions-driven Collaboratory committed to transforming our world together. One Island facilitates multi-sector business and community engagement, public-private partnerships and supports innovation ecosystems, locally and globally. Our mission aligns with challenges and opportunities framed in the UN Sustainable Development Goals  with emphasis on SDG 17, “Partnerships to Achieve the SDGs.” We also co-develop initiatives with and for Small Island Developing States (SIDs), and programs focusing on the empowerment of Women, Social Entrepreneurs and Young/Emerging Change Agents.

One Island’s mission is based on a conscious commitment to whole and healthy communities, regenerative industries and technologies, and a resilient and flourishing planet. Our work begins with a process of deep listening and “radical inclusion” that is diverse-by-design, recognizing the breakthrough solutions we seek are encoded in our individual and collective genius. One Island works with broad intersections of individuals and organizations, inviting them to share their perspectives and AIM® – Aspire, Innovate and Manifest – for the Future We Want, Together.

One Island integrates dialogue, backcasting, and design-thinking methodologies to harvest insights and information, and applies collaborative innovation principles to accelerate the most impactful and transformative ideas and business models.

Our facilitation helps communities, organizations and teams to:

B.   Identify creative, high-impact solutions and strategies (large and small);

C.  Amplify and support what’s working and what is emerging through story, film and media, and content-sharing across platforms and networks.

D.  Accelerate success by supporting participants to mobilize and take their ideas, projects and models to scale.
