Maja Zidov

Maja Zidov was born in Serbia, grew up in New Zealand, and currently lives in Mauritius.

Her education, life and work experience thus far has provided her with a multidisciplinary, systems thinking and integrated design theory, and skills in event organisation, team management, research, communication and networking. She holds BPlan and MSc in Strategic Leadership towards Sustainability.

As part of her thesis research she worked with the organisation called Smart Urbanism: London to develop a design guide for an organisation attempting to facilitate cross-sectoral, action-oriented collaboration to influence systemic change towards sustainability. Since coming to Mauritius in 2011 she has worked for ELIA – Ecological Living in Action fulfilling the role of Independent researcher and ecological networker. She is One Future One Planet’s Core Team member, and is currently receiving work training by One Island Institute, learning and applying the Vision for “Living as a Living System, together”.
